Description

To the south, it is bounded by the municipality of Virei, and to the west by the municipality of Bibala. It consists solely of the commune of Humpata.
With an altitude of 1,937 m, the municipality of Humpata has great tourism potential. It was one of the areas where the first settlers settled, precisely because of the natural beauty of the region.
Humpata is also a land of excellence in fruit growing, with emphasis on the production of strawberries and citrus fruits.

Norton de Matos House - Characterized by an English-style residence, built of wood, being the first built with this material in the province of Huíla. It is built within the Agricultural Experimental Station, supported by a base of concrete pillars.
Boers' Cemetery - Characterized by a cemetery where we can find a pyramid in the Boer style as well as graves with dates that approximately indicate the period when the Boer people lived in the Humpata region.
Tchivinguiro School of Agricultural Overseers - The Tchivinguiro School of Agricultural Overseers, by architect Vasco Regaleira, is a reference institution in the country (associated with the Tchivinguiro Church and Mission, both from 1892).
"ONDIMBA" Caves - Located in the municipality of Humpata, Tchivinguiro locality. The word "Ondimba" in the national Nyaneka language means a fissure in limestone mountains, open fissures with a hill at the top. For a long time it was believed that there was a great treasure there, which seems to be only a treasure of hope. These stories circulated more during a period of great Portuguese settlement.
Catholic Mission of Tchivinguiro - Characterized by a mission where several people lived as boarders, including leaders. In addition to the Catholic Church, we can still find old lime kilns and a cemetery.
Leba Waterfall - Characterized by a waterfall where the waters run over the rocks forming a pool, allowing tourists to bathe.
Leba Viewpoint - Characterized by a viewpoint that allows visibility of the mountain ranges with the Leba road built into them, as well as viewing the falls formed by a curtain of water, thus forming a waterfall. Serra da Leba is one of those unique cases, the absolute beauty of this place marks Serra da Leba as one of the great postcards of the entire country.
Alto Bimbe Fissure - The Bimbe Fissure is one of the five escarpment formations that make up the geological park that borders the Huíla Plateau, and is another magical place in the province of Huíla. Its climate is quite cold in the rainy season and humid in the rainy season. It is characterized by a rift with a depth of approximately 200m, with savanna and steppes, a humid and rainy climate.
