National Conference on Science and Technology 2025

The National Conference on Science and Technology (CNCT) and the Fair of Ideas, Inventions, Innovation and Technology-Based Entrepreneurship (FIEBaT) stand out as major milestones in scientific dynamics and national technological innovation, promoted with rigor and strategic vision by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESCTI). Since 2009, the year in which the first edition of the CNCT and the Angolan Inventor and Creator Fair (FeICA) took place, transformed into FIEBaT, in 2019, these events have been consolidating themselves, on a biennial basis, as privileged spaces for the promotion of knowledge and knowledge, and the development of technological innovation in Angola.In 2025, the city of Benguela will host the 9th edition of the CNCT and the 4th edition of the FIEBaT, in a celebration that transcends the academic and technological field, as it falls within the scope of the Celebrations of the Fiftieth Anniversary of National Independence. This edition is therefore particularly symbolic, highlighting the achievements and advances in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI), reflecting Angola's unwavering commitment to scientific progress and sustainable development.
Aimed at the whole of society, the 9th edition of CNCT and the 4th edition of FIEBaT will bring together teachers, researchers, creators, exhibitors, Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), Scientific Research and Development Institutions, public and private companies, and government bodies, all driven by the desire to present and discuss the results of scientific research projects, publicize and reward innovative products, services and processes with economic and social potential for sustainable development that have been generated in Angola, and foster collaboration networks. These events thus constitute a platform of excellence for the affirmation of national intellectual and creative quality, promoting science and technology as essential pillars of national sovereignty and development.
Also within the scope of the celebrations of the 50 Years of National Independence and within the framework of the Higher Education Quality Improvement Strategy, the “First National Ranking of Angolan Higher Education Institutions” will be published, a historic and unprecedented milestone in the trajectory of independent Angola, as a result of the strategic partnership between MESCTI and The World Universities Insights Limited, with the purpose of boosting internationalization and raising the standards of excellence of Public Higher Education Institutions in Angola.
