Angola has approximately 1,650 km of coastline, where numerous high-flow rivers flow into immense estuaries, gradually depositing sediments carried by their waters over time. This gave rise to the formation of several islands and bays, home to Angola's best beaches.
We present to you some of the most beautiful beaches in Angola:
Standard Tip (Soyo):- A point is the beginning of a certain action. Padrão is a stone monument erected in places discovered by Portuguese navigators and explorers. Ponta de Padrão is the beginning of Angola's history in both cultural and missionary contexts. Ponta de Padrão is an island with a centuries-old and vast history. This island is located in the northwest of the municipality of Soyo, Zaire Province.
Ambriz City Beach (Bengo): - The best option is to take the car and prepare for the approximately two-hour drive to the municipality of Ambriz, in the province of Bengo. There you'll find everything you need to recharge your batteries: sun, sea, and a pleasant breeze blowing from the numerous trees planted along the beach. Two types of tourism are available in the municipality of Ambriz: sea and sun tourism, as already mentioned on the beaches; and ecological tourism, based primarily on flora and fauna. The municipality of Ambriz is located north of the province of Bengo and is approximately 127 kilometers from the city of Caxito (the provincial capital).
Mussulo Island (Luanda): - Also called Palmeirinhas-Mussulo Restinga, it is a coastal strip and sandbar, shaped like a cape, formed by the sediments of the Cuanza River, on the south coast of Luanda province, Angola. It is administratively linked to the urban district of Benfica and Mussulo, in the municipality of Belas. It is approximately 30 km long. The Mussulo coastal strip encompasses Mussulo Bay, which contains three islands and an islet within it: Cazanga Island (or Padres Island), Pássaros Island, Desterro Island, and Quissanga Island.
Cabo Ledo (Quissama): - This cape forms a wide inlet located in the province of Luanda, in the heart of Quissama National Park, Angola. Nearby is the town of Cabo Ledo, which belongs to the municipality of Quissama. Located 120 km south of the city of Luanda, the vastness of Cabo Ledo's beaches with clear waters and the beauty of the immense cliffs surrounding a long stretch of white sand make this a stunning location, also ideal for fishing and surfing. Cabo Ledo also holds inestimable historical value, as in 1648 the fleet that came from Brazil and reclaimed Angola for Portuguese rule stopped here after seven years of Dutch rule.
Quicombo Beach (Sumbe): - is an Angolan town and commune in the municipality of Sumbe, located in the province of Kwanza Sul. This beautiful beach stretches for a considerable length, providing ample space for bathers to relax and enjoy the surrounding natural beauty. The beach has pristine white sand, creating a stunning contrast with the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The sea is calm, with waves and wind rarely increasing. On the beach, fine golden sand covers the seabed, while evergreen palm trees stand sentinel along the entire perimeter.

Egipto Praia (Lobito): - is a region located in the Egito Praia commune in the municipality of Lobito, in the province of Benguela. Its name comes from its impressive natural beauty, reminiscent of the beaches of Egypt, as well as its pyramid-shaped coastal cliffs. Its coastal strip is tempered by the cold Benguela Current, where it meets the Balombo River, which flows into its banks. This makes the place beautiful due to its natural beauty, shaped by the river's flow, which flows through the fertile brownish lands of the area. Its diversity of fauna and flora gives it a natural beauty of great splendor.
Restinga (Lobito): - is a restinga-type geographical feature in Angola. It is the natural barrier that forms the Bay of Lobito, in addition to housing a part of the city of Lobito, in the province of Benguela. It is about 10 km long, from Colina da Saudade to the Ponto Final Lighthouse, while its opposite coastlines are 200 to 300 meters apart.
Caotinha Beach (Benguela):- is one of the most beautiful beaches in Benguela, a province known for its coastline rich in beaches of rare beauty. With crystal-clear waters, it's a small beach about 100 meters long, accessed by skirting Caota Hill. It boasts one of the highest concentrations of beauty per square meter: stunning rock formations and crystal-clear waters, making it an excellent spot for diving and sport fishing enthusiasts. These attributes justify it being a candidate for the Seven Natural Wonders of Angola.
Blue Bay (Baía Farta): - is a beach in the south of Benguela province, Angola. It is located south of Praia Morena and is 3 km long. It owes its name to the region's deep blue waters.
Baía Azul is considered the "mother" of Benguela's beaches. Of unique beauty, the beach is one of the most important natural tourist destinations in the country.
Moon Beach (Baía Farta): - Moon Beach is a spectacular spot with clear, calm waters. Its shape gives it its name.
Tômbwa Cliffs (Namibe): - Ideal for those seeking a quiet place to rest and embracing the tranquility that this remote area offers. Here we can breathe the fresh air, feel the fresh seawater, and relax to the sound of the waves. Here you can feel at one with nature. The nights near the bay are spectacularly clear and bright, and you can simply lie back and enjoy the stars.
