Ambriz City Beach

It is bordered to the north by the municipalities of Nezeto and Quindeje, to the east by the municipality of Nambuangongo, to the south by the municipalities of Dande and Barra do Dande, and to the west by the Atlantic Ocean.

The municipality consists of the main commune, corresponding to the city of Ambriz, and the communes of Bela Vista and Tabi.
The municipal seat is on the banks of the Loge-Ambriz estuarine complex (or Laguna da Ganga), where the strategic port of Ambriz is located; This estuarine complex receives part of the waters of the Loge River.
The majority of the population is of the Congo ethnic group, with significant groups of Ovimbundu, Ambundo, and Luso-Angolans.
The population's main activity is sea and river fishing, with agricultural production and livestock production, including beef and dairy farming.

In the past, Ambriz had an oil and gas storage and operations platform belonging to Petromar. This platform was destroyed in 1992, but was rebuilt and expanded in 2020, rehabilitating the city's important port. It offers services related to boat maintenance and refurbishment, concentrated in its important port, the largest in the province.
