Designed by architect Vasco Regaleira
With a revivalist, neo-traditional character, the Church of Nossa Senhora da Arrábida was designed by the architect Vasco Regaleira (Vasco de Morais Palmeiro, 1897-1968). Visually appealing, as a whole, to the theme of Traditional Portuguese Architecture, in the small-scale variant of the “village church”, it displays the corresponding profusion of eaves, presenting a galilee with single storey arches of round arches, surrounding the front and the sides, a main body of two waters and a bell tower, lateral, recessed, with a pyramidal roof top.
