History:
Cabo Ledo is a cape that forms a wide bay located in the province of Luanda, within the Quissama National Park, in Angola.
Nearby is the city and commune of Caboledo, which belongs to the municipality of Quissama.
Located 120 km south of the city of Luanda, the vast beaches with crystal clear waters of Cabo Ledo, the beauty of the immense cliffs surrounding an extensive stretch of white sand make this a stunning location, also suitable for fishing and surfing.
Cabo Ledo also holds invaluable historical value, as it was here in 1648 that the fleet, coming from Brazil, recovered Angola for Portuguese rule after seven years under Dutch domination.

SURF
CLIMATE - This is a tropical zone, with some rain in the summer and a practically dry winter, with an average annual temperature of 24 degrees. Cabo Ledo has a hot and humid climate during the rainy season, between September and April. The months of March and April are usually the rainiest. During the "cacimbo" season, from June to August, temperatures drop. Rain is practically nonexistent during this period.
SEASON - With most of the swells from the South Atlantic hitting the Angolan coast, it is during the "cacimbo" season that surfing produces the highest quality waves. The best time starts in June and can last until mid-October, with rarely encountering a flat day during these months.
SURF - Points
SURFERS' BEACH -
Located a few kilometers from the village of Cabo Ledo.
Quality: *****
DESCRIPTION: Soft and fun left-hand point break. It offers several sections and on exceptional days it can easily reach over 500 meters in length or reach 3 meters in height.
Works on any tide and with various types of wind and swell, which gives it the title of the most consistent wave in the region. Despite being suitable for all levels of surfing, the crowd is still relatively low.
DOCE MAR -
As the name indicates, it is located near the resort, slightly north of Cabo Ledo.
Quality: *** - Intermediate
DESCRIPTION: It is a beach break available for surfers with a wide range of surfing levels. It is during low tide and with a southwest swell, like the majority of local spots, that it offers the best waves.
Low crowd.
BURACO -
Located 40 kilometers south of Luanda and north of Cabo Ledo, in a location that requires some "agility" to find it.
Quality: **** Advanced Level

PALMEIRINHAS -
It's about 20 kilometers from Luanda, further north from Sangano and Cabo Ledo.
Quality: *** Advanced

ONÇA -
It is north of Cabo Ledo, between Buraco and Sangano.
Quality: **** Intermediate
