Tombs Queen N\'ginga M\'bandi and N\'gola Mbandi

They are historical monuments that preserve the memory of two central figures of African resistance against colonial occupation.
N’Gola M’Bandi was king of the Kingdom of Ndongo and a symbol of traditional Mbundu authority, having ruled in a period of great political instability.
His death marked a crucial transition in the kingdom's history. His sister and successor, Queen N’Ginga M’Bandi, became one of the most notable leaders in Angolan history, known for her strategic intelligence, diplomatic skill and firm resistance against Portuguese colonizers.

Both tombs represent not only the political and spiritual importance of these figures, but are also sites of collective memory, cultural pride and national identity.

Among the most important monuments and sites, the tombs of King Ngola Kiluanji, Queen Njinga Bandi and her brother, Mbingi a Mbandi, are located in the village of Mukulu a Ngola, municipality of Marimba.
In the aforementioned village, the people who take care of the tombs of the Kings belong to the Royal family.
It is up to them to organize cleaning and visits. Tourists and visitors have to dress in special attire to be able to visit.
