Chitokota Hot Springs

The place has become one of the main tourist potential in the municipality of Andulo, which also receives hundreds of people from Huambo, Benguela, Cuanza Sul, seeking treatment, including rheumatism.

The water is known as being medicinal, as it has a temperature above 50 degrees, and does not need detergents to make foam.
Andulo hosted the provincial event of World Tourism Day, celebrated on the 27th of this month, and one of the attractions was the visit to this place, by members of the government, civil society and guests, who were enchanted by the venue.

According to historians from the region, doctor Walter Strangway, who today gives its name to the largest hospital in the province of Bié, recommended that patients with such pathologies take a bath there.

The place was discovered by a hunter, who followed animal tracks along a mountain, and came across the place, which gushed hot water and a whitish product, similar to salt.
