Morena Beach

It is very popular because it is located close to the city in relation to the others, it is also very visited due to its beauty and well-preserved infrastructure.
It is the greatest symbol of the city of Benguela, and one of Benguela's postcards.
You can still see yourself as a castaway, struggling to stay on the surface, on what remains of the old wooden jetties.
Sitting on the sand, we can imagine the commercial routes coming from the previous one, carrying boats with a thousand and one products;
Or, in a more painful exercise of abstraction, we can witness the forced embarkation of thousands of slaves on the beach of Benguela, on the way to South America.
The place where the captives were locked up before the journey, today houses the National Museum of Archeology.
