Chik Chik Bié is strategically located right in the city center of Cuito, which was named Silva Porto during the colonial era. Often referred to as the “Martyr City” due to the hardships suffered during the war, this city has been rapidly transforming with new buildings, aspiring to a bright future—among them, the Hotel Chik Chik Bié, also known in other contexts as (formerly Hotel Cassoma). Its nine (09) rich municipalities border the capital: to the North are the municipalities of Cunhinga and Catabola; to the East, Nharea and Andulo; further East, the municipality of Camacupa and Cuemba; to the South, the municipality of Chitembo; and to the West, the municipality of Chinguar.
