Tourists must pay for their visit

In  statements  to  Angop, regarding the topic “Ecotourism and the Economy”, João  Gonçalves  pointed out  that there are  people who deal with these  places  who must be stimulated, at the same time that the  State must  benefit from a certain tax, albeit insignificant.

“The State must benefit from an amount, even if insignificant,  but it is necessary to do so. Tourists come and enjoy our surroundings, so they must leave some capital. Over these years, imagine the thousands of kwanzas we have lost. There has to be a balance in this sense”, he highlighted.

João Gonçalves also highlighted the need to create in people the habit of culture and environmental protection, since the country has enormous potential that must be preserved so that everyone can benefit.

Regarding the costs involved in the rehabilitation of various tourist sites, he said that the important thing is to invest in human beings to do quality work. “It is necessary to set aside costs, since the most important thing is the education of young people in all aspects so that they can maintain good habits and especially deal with natural things”, he highlighted.
