In addition to foreign visitors, the provincial director also highlighted the presence of over 20 thousand national tourists, coming from different provinces of the country. In 2022, this figure was ten thousand excursionists.According to Pedro Hangula, the geographical characteristics of the province and the welcoming manner of the Mucubal people, as well as the architectural beauty of the city, have essentially contributed to attracting many visitors to Namibe.

Among the tourist attractions most visited by foreign and national tourists, the source highlighted the beaches of Mariquita, Piambo, Soba, Vanessa, Vila Doroteia, Namibe Desert, Yona Park, Montipa Hot Springs, Serra da Leba, Rock Paintings of Tchitunduhulu, among others, as the main places that welcome most tourists.

He also mentioned that business tourism has been growing in the last six months, due to the projects that are underway in the province of Namibe, with emphasis on the requalification of Baia de Moçâmedes and Porto Minaraleiro do Saco-Mar, projects that have motivated visitors to invest in restaurants and service provision.

He highlighted that, this year, the province could attract more visitors interested in business tourism, taking into account the oil exploration project in the Namibe Basin, which will probably start next February.

Currently, the province of Namibe has numerous tourist attractions, having listed 109 places for tourism.
