Ministry of Hotels and Tourism projects 96 thousand jobs
Pedro Mutinde considered the balance of 2013 positive, highlighting that, during this period, Minhotur achieved the materialization of one of the most important tourist projects in the world, the Okavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area project (ATFC-KAZA) .
Another highlight of the sector, according to the Minister, was the implementation of the Okavango Basin Tourism Development Hub, in the territory of Kuando Kubango.
The minister said that in 2014 the headquarters of AFTC-KAZA will be inaugurated and established in the province of Kuando Kubango, having pointed out that in the first quarter of 2014, his ministry will create the facilitation committee that will try to create conditions capable of enabling tourism and tourist mobility.
“Everything depends on the principle of organization and monitoring of actions in this important field of action, with regard to border mobility”, acknowledged minister Pedro Mutinde.
According to the government official, the Ministry will also be in a position to meet its goals of mobilizing millions of tourists and creating thousands of jobs, with the implementation of infrastructure -adequate structures in the sector and the development of campaigns to promote Angola as a tourist destination.
