At night, in days of clear skies and with the absence of any artificial light, it may lose hours watching the night sky and count shooting stars.

The Flamingo Lodge is situated in a scenic setting, almost prehistoric recreation, where the bones were used for making pots, here are a decorative function.

The accommodation is "recessed" part of the cliffs on the beach, near the mouth of the River This area of coast is the northern extension of the Namib Desert and is practically devoid of other tourist activity.

The Flamingo Lodge consists of seven rustic bungalows with comfortable beds, showers and bathrooms and can accommodate 30 people (although many more may be housed in tents if necessary). Dinner and drinks are served in a beach cover. There are 7 bungalows right on the beach, a place where nothing exists around a radius of several kilometers.

It is located in the middle of 70 km of coastline and is almost uninhabited, is diversified with desert landscapes and some areas of special beauty.

It is approximately 150 km south of the city of Namibe, on the road connecting this town to the Iona National Park, Foz do Cunene and Border Calueque on the border with Namibia.

The OMAUHA is a small lodge with about 5.000h, fully fenced and whose purpose beyond beyond tourism is to create wildlife species which once inhabited this region.

Situated in a region of sub-features with beautiful desert landscapes of plains between enormous granite, which gave name to this lodge OMAUHA, which means stone in regional dialect.

In addition to support tourism, the lodge organizes various activities in Namibe, such as:

- Visits to the Namib Desert

- Contact with the tribe Mucubal

- Visit the cave paintings of about 20,000 years

- Visit the world's largest Welwitchia mirabilis

- Visit the oasis and hot springs where you can swim
